Strongpoint is excited to announce some powerful new features and enhancements in our latest product release, Version 5.5. Pre-Release

Version 5.5 is now available in your sandbox for pre-release. Since we cannot push updates to your sandboxes, please update the Strongpoint bundle in your sandboxes to ensure you are using the latest version in all accounts.

Full Release

Starting November 23, we will be pushing the 5.5 upgrade to your production account during off-peak hours.

 

Managed Customers

If you are a customer with a managed upgrade process, we will contact you to schedule the upgrade to your production account, per the process defined with you.

If you are not a Managed Customer and would like to know more - reach out!  We’d be happy to work out the details with you.

Jira Integration Available in the Atlassian Marketplace

Strongpoint’s Jira integration can be downloaded direct from Atlassian Marketplace. Customers push Jira tickets into a NetSuite Strongpoint Change Request, enabling easy management of changes.

Our Jira integration enables you to use Jira and manage changes in your NetSuite account without any extra effort.

  • Improve Team Productivity – Strongpoint detects objects mentioned in Jira tickets, manages changes to those objects, and synchronizes approvals between Strongpoint and Jira.

  • Seamless Integration with Jira - Strongpoint works within your existing change and approval processes in Jira so your users can track and approve compliant changes without having to learn a new system or process.

  • Streamline Auditing - Strongpoint tracks compliant changes. Auditors do not have to manually reconcile change tickets to change logs during audits.

Enhanced Standard Field Documentation and ERD Views

 

You can now see more complete information about your account with Standard Field documentation.  This enhancement improves the control of standard field documentation creation and current status.

  • Added check boxes to the Documentation tab on Strongpoint > Strongpoint Support > Installation Settings:

    • If Include All Standard Fields is checked (default is off), a customization record is created for all standard fields of supported standard record types.

    • If Include Only Script Related Standard Fields is checked, customization records are only created for standard fields used in scripts and/or workflows. Status is shown on the Spider Status tab: Spider - All Standard Fields.

  • Added Spider - All Standard Fields status to the Spider Status tab on Strongpoint > Strongpoint Support > Installation Settings. This field tracks the status of the creation of all standard field documentation when the Include All Standard Fields option is set on the Documentation tab.

Added filtering for ERD views to improve usability. Three new options are available to filter ERD search results:

  • Hide standard fields without relationships: check this box to hide all standard fields that do not have relationships from the results.

  • Hide all standard fields: check this box to hide all standard fields from the results.

Improved Customization Look Up Interface for Change Requests

 

You now have more options for attaching existing and proposed customizations to change requests.  

  • Ability to switch between accounts in production and sandbox environments to look up customizations.  You can now pull customization scriptIDs from sandbox to production which means you do not need to manually add Proposed Customizations.

  • Search and filter results by name, script ID, type, Changed By user, or date.

  • Preview the details of the customizations.

  • Select the customizations to add to the Change Request. If they exist in the current account they are added to the Customizations list. If they do not exist in the current account, they are added to the Proposed Customizations list.

Multi-Stream Approval

 

Multi-Stream Approval provides a mechanism to have approvals done by other departments and process owners without requiring the mandated approval from other policies. This process enables an administrator to select approvers other than the IT Approvers outlined on the Policy. The administrator selects the approvers in the order they will approve the request. The process owner is the final approver. This differs from selecting Additional Approvers from the Change Request, where the mandated approvers are included.

Change Management Simplification

 

New simplified forms provide visual feedback, automation and reduced clutter:

  • Visual bar displays current stage.

  • Impact Analysis is run automatically as applicable.

  • Fields are specific to the stage. For example, Approval fields do not appear until the the request is saved.

  • Removed tabs not applicable to the request.

  • Removed buttons and extra fields or moved them to tabs.

Changes to Simplified Customization Record (5.4.4)

 

Enhanced the information provided on the Detailed Metadata tab for a Customization Record.

  • Subsidiary field was added to the Detailed Metadata for all customizations.

  • Script Analytics and Usage section was added to the Detailed Metadata for all Script customizations.

  • Data Sources Integration was added to the Detailed Metadata for Records, List and Fields.

Script Deployment section was added to the Detailed Metadata for all Script deployments.

Changes to Automated Search Clean Up (5.4.4)

 

Added a new checkbox: Notify Supervisor for Inactive Owners. When checked, notification email is sent to the inactive owner's supervisor. Default is checked.

Improved Evaluation of Change Level for Proposed Customizations (5.4.3)

 

Proposed Customizations are evaluated to determine the proper Change Level to assign to a Change Request. The highest level found for a Customization or Proposed Customization is used for the Change Request.

Improved Update Help and Description Reporting (5.4.3)

 

If Opportunistic Clearance is enabled, Help and Documentation changes are reported in the Change Log as Documentation Change for the Change Type and the Resolution set to Automatically cleared documentation change. Only Help or Description changed. The Change Log is closed. Improvements to the Change Log for Help and Description automatic changes make it clearer for you to see what is happening.  This also reduces the number of Open Non-Compliant Changes to process.

  • Documentation only changes are always compliant.

  • Reported in the Change Log as Change Type: Documentation Change
