Job Description

As our new Inside Sales Representative, your main goal is to be our opener. You’ll contact warm leads and move them through the sales funnel, converting leads into clients. You’ll be a key player on our sales development team.

You love talking to people, and getting to know them. You have natural ability to build rapport and relationships. You’re known for turning strangers into friends, and you love connecting with people over technology. That means you’ll thrive in this role, as you make anywhere between 20-50 calls per day to potential clients.

You’re not fazed by rejection, because you have a persistent spirit and don’t take things personally. Your focus is always on meeting your targets and you love the thrill of making sales. You’ll thrive in an environment that rewards your performance.

You have an interest in technology, and a passion for using tech to solve problems. You’ll enjoy learning about compliance, so that you can educate potential clients about how our software solves their problems. You’ll build their trust using your tech expertise, and compliance knowledge.    

Practically speaking you’ll also…

  • Research and identify potential accounts to contact

  • Provide technical information and explanations to assigned accounts

  • Follow up with assigned accounts, never leaving a lead unexplored

  • Maintain accurate customer information

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand leads and move them through the sales funnel

The Details

This is a full time, permanent role working in our funky downtown Toronto office. We’re steps away from a TTC subway line, at the intersection of Richmond and Duncan. You’ll be working 40 hours per week, with opportunities for a flexible schedule.

We offer an attractive compensation plan and full benefits. You’ll enjoy a competitive base salary, and an opportunity to earn up to 50% of your base salary in commission.

Our team is growing quickly, and we plan to double in size in the next year. We’d love it if you joined us.

Qualifications and Skills

We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Experience in a sales, customer service, or contact centre role

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in any sales environment

If you had any of the following, it would be a major asset:

  • Experience with B2B inside sales

  • Experience doing outbound customer calls on the phone

  • Experience using Salesforce or NetSuite

  • Experience with cloud based platforms

  • Experience working in the tech industry

  • Undergraduate degree from a college or university
